We learned a lot this week, but if I was to focus on two important things, I'd focus on believing in yourself, and me as a reader. We looked a lot at what we believe in, and doing what we love this week. Looking at stories from Tony hawk, Michael oatman, and Mr.Schoenborn. All of those inspiring. One thing I was confused with was the I believe in assignment, mostly with trying to figure out what i believed in. But on friday I figured it out. All of those stories had one thing in common. They never gave up, and proved people wrong. Now they all love what they do on a everyday basis. “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day on your life” - confucius. I think that quote is a perfect example of all those people. They now never work a day in their lives. All of this showed me to stick with what i believe in, and never give up on my dreams. I started to get into the book i'm reading, I like the difference it has from the movie it has. It pulls you in and attracts you to read. I never liked to read before, but this book pulls me and makes me interested. I learned something new about myself, I like to read! Was not sure how the first week was gonna be, what we were gonna learn, how the class was gonna go. This class is very interesting, I like how it is all on the computer, a lot like mr.spences class. I liked the quick write, it brought back a cool memory that I got to write about, I started reading the hunger games, the book pulls you in I’m gonna take it home and read it because it is much more detailed than the movie, shows you how important reading actually is, and how much you read in everyday activities, and the poems are not just poems, if you listen there is a lesson behind them, there is meaning to them, you can learn a lot from just one poem. I have always been interested in reading about facts or learning new facts, but in just one week i learned that it is the story behind the facts that is the most interesting facts not the facts it self. Andy’s story about his daughters really helped show that, because you remember that the one daughter wanted the other to be grounded for a 1000 years, but you remember that detail so well, because of the story behind that detail. Never been a big reader, I do not mind reading, it’s just something i was never interested in. I have watched the hunger games and loved the movie, but only 22 pages into the book i can tell you that it is way better than the movie, because of all the details it pulls you into the book, and makes you actually want to read. This class is awesome a great envorement, can not wait for all the interesting things we are gonna learn. |
